From Our Farm | To Your Family

About MidAmerican Beef®

Our cattle are raised on our family farm with a focus on consistency, nutrition, low-stress handling, and sustainable farming practices.

  • Our family farm is located, just down the road from The 1:16 Marketplace in Caldwell & Clinton counties.
  • Our cattle are raised on open pasture but they also receive a balanced mix of nutrient rich, forages & non-GMO grains (grown on our family farm), under the guidance of an animal nutritionist. This key focus is very important to us. Healthy animals mean nutritious, healthy beef.
  • We do not use added growth hormones. Instead, we encourage the development of beautiful marbling and flavor with a diet of open pasture and mixed forage rations and the art of time.
  • Our health practices for our herds are simple. If it's for the betterment of the health of the animal or for the safety of our herds, then we will use that method as needed. If not, then we don't. We only use antibiotics if a single animal needs it due to their health (just like us).
  • The bottom line is, we care. We want to feel content about the beef we share and the earth we are borrowing from future generations to come.

We are located on 116 HWY, just 6 minutes East of Interstate 35 in NW Missouri. About 1/2 way between Liberty & Cameron.

We do not offer delivery at this time.

For a half beef, you will need around 10 cubic feet of freezer space. For a whole beef, you will need around 20 cubic feet of freezer space.
*Helpful Tip: If you are using an upright freezer, add a couple cubic feet to the needed space. Upright freezers are convenient for organization and visibility, but the layout of shelves does require some extra space.

Absolutely! When you order, just mention that you will be splitting your order. We'll ask how you would like your order boxed to make the process of pick-up more convenient for you.
***The total order amount must be paid in full before any member of your group can pick up their portion.***
We do require all orders to be picked up within 4 business days of placing the order.

The list of cuts is pre-determined, but if we can accomodate a preference for you while staying within the pre-determined options, we will happily work with your needs & wants. When you place your order, we will go over all the available options. While these are pre-bundled, there is a little flexibility on a few select cuts. Example: We may ask if you prefer bone-in or bone-out on a few select cuts if we still have both options available.

No deposits, no guessing a final price. Since these are pre-bundled wholes and halves that we currently have in stock, there is no need for a deposit. We do require your order to be picked up and paid for within 4 business days of ordering.
All orders must be paid for in full at the time of pickup. If you plan to split your order with others, we can accommodate that, but the total order amount must be paid in full before any member of your group can pick up their portion.

When properly stored at 0°F, beef remains safe indefinitely, but different cuts will remain fresh tasting longer than others. We choose to package our cuts individually to ensure your beef stays fresh and flavorful. Each cut in your order is vacuum sealed and flash frozen at peak freshness. Cuts like steaks and roasts maintain excellent quality for 2–3 years, while ground beef and stew meat are best within about a year. Specialty items like soup bones and organs are best within 6-12 months.
