We render the fat from the beef raised on our own family farm to make cooking oil called tallow. That tallow is what we deep fry in.
It started with building a place where people could buy and experience our beef. Today The 1:16 Marketplace still centers around a full selection of MidAmerican Beef® raised on our family farm, drawing people from across the region to stock their freezers.
Around that foundation, something bigger has grown. Amazing house creations and products from farms and makers across the region have turned it into a true food destination.
