Marketing Coordinator

The Marketing Coordinator supports the Marketing Director by keeping day-to-day marketing execution moving across multiple growing ag- and rural-based businesses, with an immediate focus on MidAmerican Beef® and The 1:16 Marketplace.

This person is responsible for turning plans into action, keeping digital marketing channels updated, organizing moving pieces across teams, and making sure marketing tasks do not fall through the cracks. The right person enjoys taking ownership, noticing what needs to be done, and helping a growing department run smoothly.

Part Time

Approximately 20 hours per week to start, with potential to grow as the company and marketing department expand

Work Location:

Hybrid with regular on-site work at The 1:16 Marketplace near Polo, MO

Required Time On-Site:

At least 2 days per week on-site at The 1:16 Marketplace, with 3 days per week preferred during the first 90 days for training and workflow development

Schedule:

Flexible, but must be available during 9:00 AM–2:00 PM and able to work daytime hours

Start Date:

Flexible; as soon as the right candidate is found.

Compensation:

$20–$26/hour depending on experience

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and publish social media content using visual assets and creative direction provided by the Marketing Director
  • Write, format, tag, schedule, and publish social media posts across platforms
  • Help coordinate the content calendar with input from the Marketing Director and internal teams
  • Update website content, menus, specials, and customer-facing digital information
  • Own email and SMS marketing strategy and execution, including planning, building, segmentation, scheduling, and performance review
  • Support day-to-day marketing operations by organizing requests, assets, deadlines, and follow-up items
  • Gather marketing needs from retail and restaurant managers during regular on-site time at The 1:16 Marketplace
  • Prepare polished drafts and updates for approval before anything goes public
  • Help maintain consistency across social media, website content, promotions, and customer-facing messaging
  • Track basic platform insights and grow into stronger cross-platform expertise over time

Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with at least one major marketing platform currently in use, such as Meta, Klaviyo, or Webflow
  • Ability and drive to become highly capable in additional platforms quickly
  • Deep understanding of email and SMS marketing strategy and execution
  • Experience executing organic social media marketing across platforms
  • Strong writing and editing skills for captions, emails, texts, and customer-facing content
  • Strong organizational skills and dependable follow-through
  • Experience managing recurring marketing tasks across multiple channels and teams
  • Comfort working within an established brand voice and approval process
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and help move projects forward in a growing environment

Strongly Preferred Qualities

  • Experience making routine website updates in Webflow
  • Klaviyo experience
  • Strong platform fluency across social media, not just one channel
  • Good instincts for modern organic social media marketing
  • General knowledge of agriculture, rural business, food production, or beef production
  • Experience supporting retail, restaurant, hospitality, e-commerce, ag, or multi-brand businesses
  • Ability to recognize when a platform, tool, or workflow may no longer be the best fit and make thoughtful recommendations

This role starts with a focus on MidAmerican Beef® and The 1:16 Marketplace, but we expect it to grow as our marketing department and businesses continue to expand. The right person will be excited to grow with us, support additional brands over time, and help build stronger systems along the way.

Because our businesses are guided by Christian faith and values, some marketing work will include messaging, events, or promotions connected to that identity. We’re looking for someone who can support that work professionally within our established brand voice.
